Make an Impact
The tithes and donations you make to Metropolitan Baptist Church Pittsburgh make a difference to our church, our community, and the people of Pittsburgh. There are various ways you can donate. We pass a collection plate during services and electronic giving is available for 24/7 donations. “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops” (Proverbs 3:9).

FUND NAMES
Name of Designated Church Funds
Below is a list of the funds we use and a brief description of each. Please use the fund name when giving via text messaging. The actual fund title is included in brackets below.
benevolent (Benevolent Fund)
The Benevolent Fund is a goodwill offering used to help members and non-members of the Church in case emergency.
building (Building Fund)
An offering for maintaining the physical structure of the church building.
Christmas (Christmas Offering)
This is a special days offering given annually at Christmas time
church (Church Anniversary)
This is a special days offering given annually on the Church Anniversary, the 2nd Sunday in November
dues (Dues)
Use this fund to give annual dues for special programs or ministries
easter (Easter Offering)
This offering is a special days offering given annually. Use this fund name when giving for Easter.
education (Education Fund)
An offering for the purpose of supporting our youth who are in schools of higher learning.
general (General Fund)
Offerings are recurring donations that are given to the local church "the storehouse" where we are taught God's word and nurtured spiritually. God wants believers to be free from the love of money. These donations are used to supplement the tithe in support of the Church's expenses, i.e. salaries, utilities, etc.
initial (Initial Offering)
This is an offering collected the first time you give to Metropolitan to cover the cost of your envelopes
men (men & women's day)
This is a special days offering given annually for Men and Women's Day on the 1st Sunday in June
missions (Missions Fund)
An offering used to support the furtherance of domestic and foreign missionary work
offering (Offering)

pastor (Pastor's Anniversary)
This is a special offering given annually to our Pastor.
Sunday (Sunday School)
This fund is used for the support and maintenance of our Sunday School programs
tithes (Tithes)
The Lord Jehovah established the law of tithing, and because it is his law, it becomes our obligation to observe it if we love him and have a desire to keep his commandments and receive his blessings
youth (Youth Day)
This is a special offering giving on Youth day to support the needs of the Church youth
speaker (Guest Speaker)
An offering given to whomever delivers the message other than the Pastor
scholarship (Youth Scholarship)
An offering for the purpose of supporting our youth who are in schools of higher learning.
dollars (Dollars for Youth)
An offering for the purpose of supporting our youth who are in schools of higher learning.
